Wynn Resorts has announced the details of its new Wynn Al Marjan Island venue, located in Ras Al Khaimah in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

The project is estimated at $3.9bn and will feature 1,500 guest rooms, 24 dining areas, a spa centre, a theatre, an events centre and a shopping esplanade.

Rising more than 1,000 feet above the ocean, the resort will also feature an integrated gaming area, as well as laser and light shows.

Craig Billings, CEO of Wynn Resorts, said: "We have spent the past year meticulously programming and concepting Wynn Al Marjan Island, carefully considering its unique location.

"I am incredibly proud of our design and development team's ability to impart our legacy of rich, thoughtful design into a sun-soaked beachside resort that will delight customers, new and old.

“We look forward to opening Wynn Al Marjan Island in early 2027."

Local partners Marjan LLC and Rak Hospitality Holding are assisting in the development of the project, which began its initial construction work earlier this year.

Al Marjan Island is a group of man-made islands constructed in 2013 in the Persian Gulf.

The artificial archipelago was intended to become a tourist spot, with a number of resorts and destinations already present on the four coral-shaped structures.

Wynn Resorts decided on Dream Island for its Al Marjan Island development, which has over 5,000 metres of waterfront area.

During construction in 2015, Dream Island was marketed as the area to attract partygoers, with two megaclubs and four beachside clubs initially proposed.

Elsewhere, Marina Bay Sands has announced the completion of 850 hotel rooms as part of its redevelopment in Singapore.
