By Gambling Insider

Danville Casino, the new Caesars Entertainment venue in the city of Danville, opened on 15 May and welcomed its first guests.

The opening ceremony was attended by Danville Mayor, Alonzo Jones, Caesars Entertainment representatives, Virginia State Delegate Danny Marshall and Chairman Richard French of the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians.

Chris Albrecht, SVP and General Manager of Danville Casino and Caesars Virginia, said: “At Caesars Entertainment, we often say, ‘Together, We Win,’ and it is definitely through the collective effort of many hardworking Team Members and partners that we have successfully arrived at this opening today.

“We are grateful for the immense support we’ve received throughout this process, and could not be more excited to begin showcasing the level of hospitality and family-style service that Caesars is known for here in Danville.”

The 40,000 square-foot casino will host 740 slot machines, 25 live game tables and 28 electronic tables, eight Caesars Sportsbook kiosks and three restaurants.

Danville Casino will also be operational 24 hours a day across seven days a week, with the Stack restaurants offering the same service.

The Caesars Rewards scheme will also be live at the casino, meaning that players will be able to earn and redeem Reward Credits while at the facility.

The permanent Caesars Virginia resort is still under construction, with the opening scheduled for late 2024.

Some of the expected features include a WSOP poker room, a 500-room hotel with a full-service spa and pool and a state-of-the-art live entertainment theatre.
