Responsible Gambling Trust appoints new chair

stry charity the Responsible Gambling Trust (RGT) has appointed Kate Lampard CBE as its new Chair of the Board of Trustees with immediate effect.

An ex-barrister and the former non-executive Vice-Chair of the South of England Strategic Health Authority, Lampard replaces Neil Goulden in her new role.

Following the appointment, the majority of the RGT Board membership is comprised of individuals from outside the gambling industry.

“The Gambling Commission warmly welcomes Kate Lampard to her new role as Chair of the Responsible Gambling Trust,” said Philip Graf CBE, Chair of the UK Gambling Commission.

He added: “We look forward to working with her on the Responsible Gambling Strategy Board and RGT strategies to treat and prevent gambling-related harm.”

Kate Lampard CBE said: “I am very pleased to accept this appointment to help prevent and protect vulnerable people from gambling-related harm.

“The RGT plays a vitally important role in enhancing our understanding of harm arising from gambling and the best ways to tackle it.

“I look forward to working with our research, treatment and gambling industry stakeholders to address the evolving challenge of minimising gambling related harm.”
