Mohegan Inspire entertainment resort announces five-star rating
By Jessica Lynn

Mohegan’s new resort has announced the achievement of a five-star hotel rating.

This is the highest possible rating a hotel can achieve and was awarded after a thorough assessment by the Korean hotel rating system, operated by the Korea Tourism Association (KTA).

The new resort, called Inspire, is based on the island of Yeongjong in South Korea.

Inspire’s luxury facilities include three differently themed hotel towers - the Forest Tower, the Sun Tower and the Ocean Tower - to embody a different aspect of the island’s natural beauty.

Mohegan’s Inspire has already welcomed guests in its soft opening phase, who are able to access the premium spa, fitness centre and indoor pool.

The resort has 1,275 rooms ranging from deluxe accommodation to extravagant villa suites.

Inspire’s restaurant range reflects the hotel’s commitment to providing luxury hospitality. Dining options include the first Eurasian Michael Jordan Steak House and MJ23 Sports Bar & Grill alongside Japanese, Chinese and European restaurants.

CEO of Mohegan Ray Pineault commented: "This five-star rating for Mohegan Inspire is a testament to our relentless pursuit of excellence and our commitment to providing world-class experiences. This milestone reflects our team's dedication to upholding the highest standards in the industry and it reinforces our position as a leader in global entertainment and hospitality."

President of Mohegan Inspire, Chen Si, reflected this excitement: "I am delighted that Inspire’s hotel facility has officially achieved a five-star rating and I would like to thank our team for their hard work in all areas including facility, hospitality and operations management.

“What incredible momentum going into this first quarter celebrating the casino's grand opening – that's how Mohegan continually sets the standard for integrated resorts that create unforgettable experiences."

Inspire marks Mohegan’s recent expansion into the South Korean market. At a conference last December, it was confirmed that Mohegan expects to receive its South Korean gaming licence in Q1 2024. Mohegan COO Jody Madigan also confirmed that the property is expected to be cash-flow positive by the end of this year.

Earlier this month, the Grand Casino Hotel Resort in Oklahoma signed an agreement with Agilysys to utilise its technology solutions as a means to improve customer experiences.
