By Tom Lewis
has announced that its subsidiary, IGT Global Solutions, has signed a deal to provide the Florida Lottery with a wide range of solutions and services through to 2031.

The existing array of retailer terminals serving the Florida Lottery will be replaced with IGT’s Altura Flex terminal, while IGT’s Aurora Multimedia in-store signage will aim to facilitate more efficient and streamlined interaction with customers.

The Gemini self-service lottery vending machine and Ticket-Scan Plus self-service ticket checkers are also set to be rolled out in the coming weeks.

Jay Gendron, IGT Senior Vice-President of North America Lottery, said: “Since 2005, the Florida Lottery and IGT have worked together to implement solutions and initiatives that have been key to the Lottery’s growth.

“The Lottery’s close attention to the needs of players and retailers has been instrumental in making it among the world’s most successful and respected lotteries, and serves as a model for driving lottery growth through effective branding and innovation.

“Working together, our aligned organisations can build on this success even further for the benefit of Florida’s education program.”

The Florida Lottery generated total sales of $6.06bn in its fiscal year 2015-16, representing its fifth record-breaking year in a row, while it has now contributed more than $30bn to education since its 1988 launch.
