By Nicole Abbott
d Williams, long-term Media Relations Director of Ladbrokes, recently confirmed via business network LinkedIn that he has stepped down from his position.

Williams leaves after thirteen years of service to the bookmakers, leading a number of roles within the communications, media and PR teams.

In yesterday’s LinkedIn post, Williams explained that he plans to assist the bookmaker until the end of June, adding that he has already helped the enlarged Ladbrokes Coral Group with its transition relating to corporate communications.

Williams stated: “I’ve enjoyed a hugely rewarding time with the firm, having arrived on the graduate scheme in 2004. During those years I’ve valued the support of some outstanding colleagues and made some first-class friends who encouraged and allowed me to work in a wonderful industry.”

“Heading up the PR charge with Ladbrokes was a real privilege but it now feels like a perfect time to explore new opportunities. Working to ensure the Ladbrokes brand was celebrated and recognised throughout consumer media and corporate comms has been wonderful, and

I’m proud of the role I played in helping to lead the business through some challenging and exciting times over the years.”

Williams detailed that he would take time out of the betting and gaming sector in order to re-assess his future career options.
