rding to Maryland state figures, casinos in the region collected a total of $135.7m in revenue last month – a 30% increase compared to the same period last year.

The total marks the second highest monthly revenue recorded by Maryland’s six casinos, falling just short of the $141.2m brought in during March.

The five-month-old MGM National Harbor led the way in April with $49.9m from its 3,139 slot machines and 165 table games.

Maryland Live brought in $45.3m in revenue, suffering a 21.6% decrease from the same period last year, whilst Horseshoe Casino Baltimore saw a monthly decrease of 18.7%, bringing in $24.6m; and Hollywood Casino Perryville saw a decrease of 8% in revenue with $4.6m.

Rocky Gap Casino Resort and the Casino at Ocean Downs both saw year-over-year increases in April generating $4.6m and $4.8m respectively. It marks a 10.2% increase for Rocky Gap and a 3.3% increase for Ocean Downs.
