Pair of appointments boost Betsson management

son has continued the restructuring of its management team, appointing Petra Zackrisson as VP Corporate Development and Fredric Lundén to the newly-created position of VP Governance, Risk and Compliance.

Lundén, who has previously worked for SEB Group and the Swedish Financial Supervisory Authority, will take up the position on 1 September 2017, in a role Betsson felt was required to meet the increase in local regulatory requirements taking hold throughout Europe.

“Ensuring that Betsson invests ethically and long-term in relation to regulatory risks and opportunities” will be among Lundén’s primary responsibilities.

Betsson CEO Ulrik Bengtsson welcomed the appointments: “The development of the gaming industry means great opportunities for Betsson.

“The ability to navigate correctly in a rapidly changing regulatory environment will be a competitive advantage, both for our existing operations and for our acquisition strategy.

“Fredric and Petra completes Betsson's Group management and I look forward to working together with them in making Betsson even more successful."

Lundén and Zackrisson will join Kaaren Hilsen as part of Betsson’s re-jigged management setup.

Hilsen was announced as the group’s new CFO in April 2017, and will assume her new role on 1 October.
