Konami have joined the Innovation Adoption Advisory Panel
By Harrison Sayers
Co and Interblock, have announced today that Konami Gaming has joined as a lead sponsor of the newly assembled Innovation Adoption Advisory Panel (IAAP). The two companies formed the panel a few weeks ago on the 3 August, 2017.

Blaine Graboyes, co-founder and CEO of GameCo said: “The IAAP was founded with the intent of creating added dialogue and bringing increased awareness to the adoption of new and innovative products across the casino floor, to this end, we are delighted to have Konami Gaming’s support of the group, as their participation further strengthens the IAAP’s ability to accomplish its mission.”

The companies at the helm such as GameCo and now Konami have all developed with little success with the first wave of skill-based machines such as Danger Arena and Frogger: get Hoppin.

Despite their large role outs around America they failed to secure casino floor space, with many of the machines being removed once their leases were up. The IAAP will look to understand the targeted market better in order to ensure that the future machines are not sidelined.

Steve Sutherland, President and CEO of Konami Gaming said: “The formation of the IAAP is an encouraging development that we believe can help play an important role in fostering the adoption of new innovative solutions in the casino marketplace. The comprehensive range of topics the IAAP panellists are exploring are aimed at understanding how new gaming concepts can be brought to market at a faster pace as well as how to best introduce these solutions in a manner that is approachable, engaging, and enjoyable for players.”

John Connelly, Global CEO of Interblock, added: “Konami Gaming’s participation and sponsorship of the IAAP further validates the relevance and need for this industry critical study. Collectively, the three companies share a commitment to fostering better understanding of how casino operations can benefit from product innovation that offers players unique, new gaming entertainment experiences.”
