By Manuel Marti
son's Board of Directors have agreed with CEO Ulrik Bengtsson that he shall step down as President and CEO. Following this agreement, Ulrik Bengtsson has chosen to leave his position immediately.

The board has already initiated the process to find a permanent CEO; however in the meantime, Betsson AB’s board has decided to appoint Pontus Lindwall as provisional CEO until the position is filled.

In connection with this appointment, Pontus Lindwall’s role as Chairman of the Board will be assumed by the Board member Patrick Svensk until further notice; whilst Jesper Svensson, Chief Commercial Officer of BML Group, has been appointed acting CEO for Betsson’s operational subsidiary in Malta.

Lindwall on behalf of the Board thanked Bengtsson for his contribution to the firm. ”Ulrik Bengtsson has done a good job for Betsson during the five years he has been employed by the Group. He has clarified the strategy and implemented significant product launches,” he said.
