ALEA acquire ladylucks.co.uk from IGT
By Harrison Sayers
has confirmed its acquisition of ladylucks.co.uk from the IGT Group for an undisclosed fee.

ALEA, whose offices are set up in Barcelona and Malta, is multi-licence online gaming developer, and has already gained UKGC approval in September before the purchase. The move shows ALEA’s intentions to focus on the UK gaming market and could be the first in a string of acquisitions.

Co-founder of ALEA, Alexandre Tomic said: “This is a bold move from ALEA, and forms part of our battle plans for the UK market. Now that we have a licence from the Gambling Commission, we want to significantly grow our presence in the country.”

Ladylucks.co.uk was established in 2004 and was then purchased by the IGT Group for £18m ten years later. The domain/company is famous for being one of the first online gaming operators to solely focus on mobile gaming platforms. ALEA has stated that they will be maintaining the brand's image, but will be changing the site's platform.

Tomic added: “LadyLucks is already benefitting from the ALEA touch; we have quadrupled the number of game suppliers, rolled out games on desktop as well as mobile, and given players access to free spins for the very first time. We see huge potential for the LadyLucks brand to become a power player in UK online casino, and with the help of Sarah Quinan, our new LadyLucks Casino Manager, it will become a force to be reckoned with.”
