Sportradar agree Cricket Australia deal
By Gambling Insider
ts-betting data suppliers Sportradar have unveiled Cricket Australia as their latest integrity partner.

The agreement will see Sportradar monitor the governing body’s Ryobi Cup, BUPA Sheffield Shield and KFC Big Bash T20 League domestic competitions for signs of betting-related corruption and fraudulent activity.

Sportradar’s Fraud Detection System (FDS) has monitored a range of sports since 2004, identifying suspicious betting practices across the world.

Sportradar detected suspected manipulated games in a recent alleged match-fixing episode in Australian soccer, utilising their systems and databases to warn the authorities in advance of individuals of interest registering to play in affiliated leagues.

Sportradar CEO Carsten Koerl said: “It’s critical in today’s world that sports governing bodies confront the threat of betting-related match-fixing and have robust preventative, detection and investigation methods in place.”

Cricket Australia CEO James Sutherland added: “We look forward to utilising Sportradar’s proven expertise in this field and forging an effective partnership.”
