Camilla Rosenberg appointed head of Swedish Gambling Authority

lla Rosenberg has been named head of the Swedish Gambling Authority by the country's government.

Currently serving as the Gambling Authorities Director-General, a role which Rosenberg has held since May 2017, she will now also take the role of head of the organisation. The appointment will last six years in accordance to Swedish regulations, between 19 October 2017 to October 31 2023.

Ms Rosenberg said:"I look forward to leading the major reorganisation of the Swedish Gambling Authority that is now necessary, together with all of my colleagues at the Authority."

Rosenberg joined the Swedish Gambling Authority in September 2015 as head of the operations department where she brought with her years of managerial experience. In her previous role at the Swedish Energy Agency she held the role of Chief Legal Officer.

Ardalan Shekarabi, Minister for Public Administration, commented on the new appointment: "We are currently in an important phase for Swedish gambling policy, and I am delighted to be in a position to recruit an experienced and popular Director-General with good experience of the gambling market."
