Chinese Sports Lottery awards AGTech lottery hardware tenders
By Harrison Sayers

The tenders allow GOT to supply its new dual, touchscreen lottery terminals to the Chinese provinces of Guizhou, Shanghai and Hebei. These three provinces have a combined population of over 130 million people.

The Chinese Sports Lottery is one of only two authorised lotteries operated by the Chinese government, with the other being the Welfare Lottery.

As one of only a few legal means of gambling in the country it is perhaps no surprise that the Chinese Sports Lottery is now the world’s second largest lottery game, with first quarter sales in 2018 reaching $16.5bn.

Commenting on securing the three new tenders John Sun, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of AGTech, said: "We are pleased that our hardware division's continued dedication to China's lottery industry is reaffirmed with the winning of these three important tenders for the new model of the lottery terminal hardware.

“GOT continues to strive for excellence in product innovation, with both lottery store owners and customers in mind during the design process. GOT also maintains the highest standards of safety and compliance in the R&D and production of lottery hardware, further contributing to the healthy development of the Chinese lottery market as a whole."

This week also saw Hong Kong-listed lottery supplier China LotSynergy Holdings awarded two deals to provide Guangxi and Hunan provinces with their own Sports Lottery computer-generated ticket game.
