The hunt is on for new American Gaming Association CEO

Freeman is joining the Grocery Manufacturer’s Association as CEO and President.

Stacy Papadopoulous, general counsel and Senior Vice President of Industry Services at the AGA, has taken the vacant CEO role on an interim basis, until a new candidate is appointed.

The search committee will be lead by Penn National Gaming Chief Executive Tim Wilmott, who also serves as Chairman of the AGA. The committee will comprise of Rush Street Gaming CEO Greg Carlin; Aristocrat CEO Trevor Croker; Caesars Entertainment CEO Mark Frissora; Chickasaw Nation Secretary of Commerce Bill Lance, Jr.; MGM Resorts Chairman and CEO Jim Murren; and Las Vegas Sands Senior Vice President of Public Affairs Ron Reese.

“The gaming industry is widely recognised as among the most popular of consumer entertainment experiences and we take seriously our role in providing this experience safely and responsibly,” said Wilmott.

No time frame has been given in the search for a new CEO.
