By Jake Patel

The developer announced the partnership with Greenwood Gaming & Entertainment, which trades as Parx Casino.

This partnership will allow Parx to offer both retail and online channels for sports betting and is expected to launch later 2018.

This is an extenstion to an existing partnership between Parx Casino and GAN, as Parx was the first operator to apply for an online gambling licence in Pennsylvania, with GAN set up to be its software platform provider.

Jeff Berman, GAN CCO, said: “Following the execution of this extension and amendment, GAN now offers clients a platform equipped with multiple options for integrated sports betting to be launched seamlessly alongside GAN’s market leading internet casino product.

“We welcome the opportunity to deliver sports betting in the retail channel, as well as online, through GAN’s unique platform containing patented technology.”

Pennsylvania’s regulated retail sports betting market is expected to generate over $100m in gross wins during its first year, while online sports betting is expected to generate $189m.

The online gaming market in Pennsylvania is also forecast to generate $200m in gross gaming revenue in its first 12 months.

John Dixon, CTO of Greenwood Gaming & Entertainment said: “GAN has ably demonstrated its abilities with both its overall platform and its integration capability for existing major clients. By leveraging GAN’s platform, Parx Casino will have the opportunity to launch retail and online regulated sports betting together with online gaming in Pennsylvania later this year, subject to the regulatory approval of the PGCB.”
