By Tim Poole

The supplier’s operating revenue rose to SEK 66.7m ($7.25m) between April and June, taking its H1 operating revenue to SEK 124.3m, an increase of 67%.

Yggdrasil also saw EBIT increase by 8% to SEK 16.6m for Q1 and 17% for H1 to SEK 30.4m.

The quarter also saw the signing of 13 new licence agreements, five new game launches (including Sonya Blackjack) and player rounds increasing by 66%.

Founder and CEO Fredrik Elmqvist said: “Yggdrasil is once again able to present another eventful quarter characterised by strong growth and further expansion.

“On the back of the second quarter performance I am excited by the opportunities lying ahead and believe conditions to be right for Yggdrasil to capture additional market share going forwards.”

Those plans already appear to be firmly in place, with Yggdrasil announcing a new agreement with Tipsport earlier this week. The deal marks entry to the Czech Republic’s online gaming market.
