Pennsylvania sports betting handle reaches $1.4m in November
By Matthew Enderby

This initial report encompasses the returns from 15 to 30 November for Hollywood Casino at Penn National Race Course, which was the first to launch a sports betting facility in the state.

A total of $183,238 was generated in tax revenue at Hollywood Casino during the two-week period.

The report follows recent news that overall gambling in the state has surpassed $385m since an expansion bill was passed in late 2017.

This figure was put together by PlayPennsylvania.com using official statistics. However, Pennsylvania has estimated the state is set to generate over $34bn in general fund revenues in its 2018-19 fiscal year.

Two additional facilities, Rivers Casino in Pittsburgh and SugarHouse Casino in Philadelphia, commenced sports betting in December, with figures from those facilities expected in next month’s report.
