By Nathan Joyes

The PGCB is tasked with overseeing the state's casino industry and its fines were a direct result of the Board’s approval at its regular public meeting of consent agreements.

Mount Airy, operator of Mount Airy Casino Resort in Monroe County, was issued a fine of $170,000.

Mountainview Thoroughbred Racing Association, operator of Hollywood Casino at Penn National Race Course, was hit with a $40,000 fine.

Mount Airy’s fine related to 17 incidents dating back to the beginning of 2016. Mountainview’s $40,000 stemmed from four incidents, which saw individuals under the age of 21 allowed onto the gaming floor.
