Mohegan Sun teams up with New York City Football Club
By Tim Poole

The deal involves the Momentum Loyalty Rewards Program offered by Connecticut-based resort Mohegan Sun.

Mohegan Sun and NYCFC will offer fans enhanced experiences at home games and select events throughout 2019.

Mohegan Sun President & General Manager, Ray Pineault, said: "Mohegan Sun is excited to welcome NYCFC into our family of Momentum Partners.

"Offering guests fresh, unique experiences is our goal. The program we have put in place with NYCFC – one of the US’s top sports and entertainment brands – delivers on that promise."

The news follows MLS Commissioner, Don Garber, recently pledging his support for regulated sports betting.

Garber said the league is "getting close" to a major league-wide sponsorship with a respected gaming company.

MLS is following in the footsteps of other North American major leagues, with the NBA signing a plethora of gaming sponsorship deals – stretching as far out as France and Australia.

The NFL and NHL have also signed numerous gaming partnerships, while MLB teams will wear MGM Resorts International patches during their series openers in Japan.
