Global Gaming appoints temporary CEO following “immediate” Möller departure
By Tim Poole

The appointment follows the announcement previous President and CEO Joacim Möller is to leave his role with immediate effect.

Global Gaming’s board of directors says the company is undergoing significant change and will benefit from new leadership, amid tough operating conditions within the Swedish market.

Fagerlund has been a member of the board since 2016 and possesses "extensive experience" leading gaming firms, although the recruitment process for a new permanent President and CEO has already begun.

In its trading update for 2018, Global Gaming reported a 100% increase in revenue to SEK 915.9m ($99.6m).

However, Möller also announced a new action plan to balance the firm’s costs, due to lower-than-expected Q4 results and higher-than-expected personal and technical costs.

Global Gaming will now carry that action plan on without its former CEO.
