Catena Media enters "multiple agreements" after Pennsylvania launch
By Tim Poole

Considered a market leader, Catena specialises in M & A, having made a series of acquisitions within the affiliate sector in recent years.

Much like competitors Gambling.com Group and Better Collective, Catena is now looking to make its mark within the nascent US sports betting market, building on its existing presence in New Jersey.

The Malta-headquartered company has officially launched in the state of Pennsylvania, to that end, generating leads for online sportsbook PlaySugarHouse.com.

It is authorised by the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board and says it has entered into multiple agreements with casino and sportsbook operators looking to launch in time for the next NFL season.

Catena Media CEO Per Hellberg said: "When the Pennsylvanian market is fully opened, we expect this to essentially double the size of the online markets Catena is serving in the US, which today consists primarily of New Jersey."

Catena Media US General Manager Michael Daly said: "We look forward to a growing market, starting with the trailblazing by SugarHouse and soon to be followed by a number of additional world-class operators, all launching in plenty of time for the 2019 American football season."
