Sportech appoints new CEO as part of two board changes

McGuire has been part of the Sportech board since 2016 and will leave his role as Interim Executive Chairman.

He was also previously Non-Executive Director and Non-Executive Chairman with Sportech.

McGuire has over 30 years’ financial and corporate experience across the gaming industry, holding several senior posts across international companies.

Meanwhile, Vardey has been serving as the company’s Non-Executive Director since November 2017.

He has 37 years of experience within the financial industry under his belt, including roles as CEO of Greig Middleton and President and CEO of Fidelity Brokerage Services.

Vardey will continue to chair the Remuneration and Nomination Committees.

Sportech is currently looking into potential candidates to fulfil an additional Non-Executive role created by the company.
