32Red reports record half-year revenues

te gaming operator 32Red has reported a 19% year-on-year rise in gross gaming revenue (GGR) for the first six months of 2014.

The firm's gains were driven by their flagship 32Red Casino operation, which accounted for 91% of record £22.6m first-half revenue.

The casino platform also increased its customer base by 20% to 51,000 players.

On average these players cost £180 to acquire through marketing and free bet offers, but yielded £400.

Ed Ware, CEO of 32Red, said: "We are pleased to report yet another record performance for our business, spearheaded by 19% growth in the 32Red casino. The initial results from our recently launched 32RedSport, which provides players with seamless access to a premium online and mobile sports betting product, have also been encouraging."

GGR from the company's Italian casino grew by 130% to £1m despite limited marketing as the company waits for "positive changes in the regulated market due at the end of 2014".
