Kambi to expand into Ohio through Jack Entertainment deal
By Owain Flanders

Subject to necessary legislation and regulatory approval in the state, the agreement will see Jack Entertainment introduce Kambi’s sportsbooks at Jack Cleveland Casino and Jack Thistledown Racino, with an online launch to follow afterwards.

The contract also includes the potential for partnership extension into other states should further opportunities arise.

Kristian Nylén, Kambi CEO, said: “Jack Entertainment is clearly a major player in the Ohio market, and has been a primary target for us in the US as we build on our strategy to create unique and engaging sports betting experiences with visionary operators.”

The agreement represents Kambi’s fifth customer signing in 2019, following partnerships with Mybet, Mohegan Gaming and Entertainment, BetWarrior and Penn National Gaming.

In a similar deal signed last month, Kambi’s Penn National partnership will see the supplier’s online and retail sportsbooks integrated into the operator’s facilities ahead of a rollout in jurisdictions with active sports betting legislation.

Kambi’s H1 2019 revenue grew 25% year-on-year to €42.6m ($47.5m), with the supplier attributing the increase to its activity in the US.
