Century Casinos receives approval for Eldorado casino acquisitions
By Owain Flanders

In June this year, Century Casinos entered into the agreement for the acquisition of the two Missouri casinos, in addition to Mountaineer Casino, Racetrack and Resort, located in West Virginia, for a fee of approximately $107m.

The acquisition of Mountaineer Casino, Racetrack and Resort received approval from the West Virginia Lottery Commission in September.

Isle Casino Cape Girardeau, which opened in 2012, consists of a dockside casino with 41,500 square feet of casino space, 851 gaming machines, 24 table games, three dining venues and an entertainment centre.

Lady Luck Caruthersville, which opened in 1995, features 21,000 square feet of casino space, 513 slot machines, nine table games, two dining venues, a 40,000 square foot pavilion and a 28-space RV park.

The deal is expected to close this month, subject to customary closing conditions.

Century Casinos announced net operating revenue of $52.9m for Q3 2019, a 22% rise year-on-year.

Meanwhile, Eldorado shareholders agreed a merger with Caesars Entertainment last month in an acquisition deal worth $17.3bn.
