FanDuel app to live stream NHL games in new deal
By Owain Flanders

The platform will offer up to two live streams per day throughout the NHL season.

The games will be viewable in states with legal sports betting, with live streaming available to customers who have deposited into their sportsbook account or wagered on an event.

Last month, IMG Arena secured the rights to provide operators with live streams of select NHL games.

Niall Connell, GM and SVP of FanDuel Group, said: “As we continue to innovate and expand nationwide, the ability to further enhance the live game and live betting experience is increasingly important to our customers.

“Our goal is to become a one-stop-shop for all sports betting content, and live streaming professional sports like hockey is one of the many ways we are reaching that goal.”

Freddie Longe, Managing Director of IMG Arena, said: “The NHL is a highly-valued asset in our portfolio. We are proud to expand this successful partnership to offer one of the largest US sports to our growing customer base of sportsbooks.”

In April 2019, FanDuel became the first sports betting app to permit live streaming in the US after signing a deal with Sportradar.
