By David Cook
Isle of Man has revealed the line-up of speakers for its eGaming Summit in November.

The fifth annual summit will take place from 10-11 November and begins with an invite-only Masterclass from the International Masters of Gaming Law (IMGL) at the Claremont Hotel, moderated by IMGL president Joerg Hofmann.

The main programme commences on the 11th at the Villa Marina and will feature two additional IMGL Masterclasses.

It begins with a welcome address from Isle of Man chief minister Allan Bell, who will be speaking about the government’s approach to handling the gambling sector.

Quirino Mancini of SCM Lawyers will then host a session on the image of gaming in the media, ahead of a sector update from Peter Greenhill, the Department of Economic Development’s director for e-business and Steve Brennan, chief executive of the Isle of Man Gambling Supervision Commission.

Eric Benz and Ben Robinson of cryptocurrency payment gateway company GoCoin will hold a talk on the relationships between gaming operators and cryptocurrencies, before a payment providers discussion lead by KPMG’s head of gaming Archie Watt.

An IMGL Masterclass will then tackle the implications of operating in part-regulated and non-regulated online gaming markets, before Paul Leyland of Regulus Partners presents a talk on point-of-consumption licensing.

The final IMGL Masterclass featuring the likes of Bill Gantz of Dentons US LLP and Hilary Stewart-Jones of DLA Piper will then address regulation in the US and the emerging market issues.

Closing words will be provided by KPMG’s director responsible for eGaming, Russell Kelly, who commented ahead of the event: “As the KPMG eGaming series grows in scope and renown with each passing year, our job of creating an engaging and outstanding line-up of speakers gets easier and easier.

"This year’s addition of three IMGL Masterclasses, populated by some of the global industry’s most celebrated figures, is testament to the summit becoming a key calendar event.“
