Videoslots implements mandatory loss limits for UK players
By Iqbal Johal

The safety measures have been introduced to help protect players during the coronavirus outbreak, with online gaming seeing a spike in activity as people are forced to stay at home. It's hoped the limits will keep the Videoslots experience safe and fun.

Players will be required to set their own personal monthly loss limits before placing their first bets on any game. Once implemented, it will take seven days for them to be able to change their own loss limits, during which players will be contacted by the operator's responsible gambling team.

The Malta-based operator said it has implemented the changes across all accounts within its UK jurisdiction.

Videoslots CEO Alexander Stevendahl said: “Playing on Videoslots.com should be a safe and enjoyable form of entertainment and that’s why we’ve made loss limits mandatory. Prompted by the pandemic while understanding it's the right thing to do as the industry moves forward, this addition is another way to further protect our players, especially during these tough times. We expect other operators to follow suit.”

Aside from the coronavirus outbreak, the move coincides with the credit card ban, which prohibits UK users to gamble using credit cards as of today.
