Both operators were added to their respective indexes as a result of FTSE Russell’s June 2020 quarterly review.

The global index provider’s quarterly reviews are intended to portray an accurate reflection of the market they represent.

GVC announced its re-inclusion in the blue-chip index as “a key landmark” in its story.

The operator was admitted to AIM in 2004 and acquired Ladbrokes Coral in 2017.

888 Holdings has been added to the FTSE 250 index. GVC was included in the list of those exiting the index.

For Q1 2020, GVC saw gaming revenue increase 1% year-on-year, while online gaming revenue was up 19%.

As a result of mitigating actions, the operator reduced its EBITDA impact estimations to approximately £50m ($62.6m) per month during the pandemic.

For the full-year 2019, 888 saw revenue increase 6% year-on-year, to a group record of $560.3m.

The company’s B2C casino revenue increased 13% to $359.3m, while B2C sports revenue was up 12%, at $90m.
