Rush Street seals partnership in Michigan after sportsbook goes live in Illinois
By Owain Flanders

The new agreement will see Rush Street operate a retail sportsbook at the Little River Casino Resort in the state, which is expected to open in the third quarter of 2020.

Rush Street has confirmed that the deal will include the operation of a mobile app co-branded with Rush Street’s BetRiver.com, however, this won’t be available until next year.

Little River Casino Resort reopened on 1 June after a period of COVID-19 forced closures.

Andrew Gentile, Little River general manager, said: “Rush Street’s ability to provide a road map of how they’ve enabled other land-based casinos to operate market-leading sportsbooks kept us from having to reinvent the wheel.”

On Monday, BetRivers.com became the first online sportsbook to go live in Illinois.

Rush Street Interactive signed a similar deal with Rivers Casino Des Plaines which would see them launch the online sportsbook in the Prairie State.

“We are excited to make history in bringing the first online sportsbook to sports fans in our home state just in time as American sports are coming back into action,” commented Richard Schwartz, president of Rush Street Interactive.
