Microgaming launches CSR programme
By David Cook
ider Microgaming has introduced Microgaming PlayItForward, its official corporate social responsibility (CSR) programme.

The programme will include all of Microgaming’s community-based activities in health, sport, education and charity.

The Isle of Man-based firm will be giving its financial backing to local sports teams and sporting events, as well as its education bursaries scheme.

“We’ve been supporting our local community for over a decade, but we’ve often done so in the shadows,” Microgaming CEO Roger Raatgever said.

“Stepping into the spotlight, Microgaming PlayItForward will allow us to combine all of our efforts and resources for the greater good. As public awareness increases, so too will opportunities to provide help where it is needed the most, which is exactly why we consolidated our CSR practices into a single identity. The Isle of Man is our home and we are only too happy to give something back.”

The Microgaming Health and Care Trust is another initiative that will be powered by the programme, though it will remain an independent body.
