Matchbook UK return a "culmination of hard work and investment," as GC lifts suspension
By Tim Poole

In February, operator Triplebet, which runs the Matchbook sports betting exchange, accepted a temporary suspension of its license in Great Britain, following a two-year Gambling Commission review.

A Triplebet spokesperson told Gambling Insider at the time: "Triplebet takes its responsibility as a betting and gaming operator very seriously and accepts the Commission panel’s findings following a two-year review.

"Last year, Triplebet engaged a third-party compliance specialist to elevate its standard of compliance beyond what is required by the Commission.

"Over the coming weeks, these recommendations will be completed in full and an independent audit will be carried out with a view to the license being reinstated."

The Commission has now deemed enough work has been put in to remedy Matchbook’s responsibility failings, with Matchbook now able to welcome UK customers once again.

In a statement sent to Gambling Insider, a Matchbook spokesperson said: “This announcement marks the culmination of many months of hard work and investment across our entire business.”
