Hollywood Casino Toledo took in $22.9m to top all Ohio operations in August for the second month in a row. The other three casinos in the State followed close behind with Hollywood Columbus reporting just over $19m in revenue, Jack Cleveland drawing $18.2m and Hard Rock Cincinnati at $17.2m,  

Total gambling revenue in the Cleveland market was up 1% with rises at the two JACK properties, most notably a 15% increase to $14.1m at Thistledown Racinos, but was negatively impacted by a drop-off at MGM Northfield Park, which was down 7% to $19.3m. 

Despite decreased earnings, MGM Northfield remained the busiest of the state’s seven racinos, which are all regulated by the Ohio Lottery Commission. Credits played across all of these venues crept over $1bn for August, according to figures from the Ohio Lottery.  

Also regulated by the commission are Ohio’s four casinos, which recorded a slight decrease in total revenue at around $77.4m for August. In July, the first month back after lockdown, total revenue was $86m.

Cleveland’s casino is the top table game operation in Ohio, with $8.5m of its $18.2m in revenue coming from the tables last month. This accounts for more than one-third of the revenue state-wide for table games.
