Betsson signs streaming deal with Betgenius
By Iqbal Johal

Under the deal, Betgenius will provide the operator live streams for thousands of sporting fixtures, as well as live trading for each event, which will be powered by official data.

The Betgenius streaming service will allow Betsson to offer round-the-clock live streams for an array of sports including football, basketball, tennis and volleyball, and enhance player retention during events that take place at off-peak times.

The supplier holds official data rights to all fixtures included within its streaming portfolio, and Bet365 was among the first operators to go live with the service last October.

Betsson Group director of trading Richard Scott, said: “We’re constantly striving to deliver the best possible product and experience for our customers.

“The addition of Betgenius live streaming on a range of sporting events is a great way to complement the official data driven pricing.”

Genius Sports Group global sales director Eric Stevens, added: “We’re excited to expand our partnership with Betsson Group and further enhance its international sportsbook offering.”

In July, Betsson saw its Q2 revenue rise 20% year-on-year, up to SEK 1.53bn ($174.9m).
