A year ago, Postle was accused of cheating during a poker tournament. Some of the players claimed he was using his mobile phone and a device hidden in his hat to see his opponents’ hole cards. The tournament director Justin Kuraitis was also implicated in the case. The matter was even investigated by the state regulators. However, attorney Maurice VerStandig found neither party guilty and the lawsuit was to be settled for a nominal sum, according to The Sacramento Bee. 61 of the 88 signed the settlement. 

VerStandig stated the investigation found no evidence of cheating. He added: “After reviewing evidence with the cooperation of Stones, my co-counsel and I have found no evidence supporting the plaintiffs’ claims against Stones, Stones Live Poker, or Justin Kuraitis.”

Postle’s future in the poker world remains unclear since the settlement didn’t explicitly exonerate him and some of the plaintiffs didn’t agree on the settlement. But Postle said he has his side of the story to tell and “it won’t just shock the poker and gambling industries, but the entire world.”
