Vermantia and ARC to launch European Racing Channel

Vermantia and the Arena Racing Company have launched the European Racing Channel by satellite and streaming, with plans to broadcast more than 40,000 thoroughbred and greyhound races every year from racecourses across the globe.

Vermantia

The Athens-based company said on Wednesday that it planned to produce and distribute the channel from their own content hub. It is set to include 15 hours or more of live racing content, expected to cover the retail hours of European gambling operators.

The service will also feature a fully documented race feed, with bespoke options available, including custom scheduling and content mix.

On the launch of channel, Vermantia’s Chief Product Officer, Yiannis Gangas, said: “The European Racing Channel is a unique product in the international markets due to its unbeatable combination of top quality content from ARC, extended time-coverage, cutting-edge design and single data feed integration.”

The launch comes after ARC acquired Vermantia in March, and is part of ARC’s plan to provide racing content around the world from Vermantia’s Connect service.
