Youngblood will serve on the compensation committee and work on the compliance committee of the board.
Youngblood is a founding partner and Chairman of Pharos Capital Group, a private equity firm that invests in the healthcare and business sectors.
He also serves as a director for Mallinckrodt plc, a company that focuses on specialty pharmaceuticals.
The new director is also a trustee of the Dallas Police and Fire Pension System and is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations.
