NetEnt director: Engaging atmosphere at the heart of a good live casino game

Speaking to Gambling Insider about NetEnt’s Perfect Blackjack game, NetEnt Live Director Andres Rengifo says an "engaging atmosphere" is perhaps the most important aspect of a live casino product.

NetEnt

Live casino is an increasingly popular vertical which it has been estimated could eventually be worth €2.5bn in Europe ($2.7bn).

In the January/February edition of Gambling Insider magazine, there will be a heavy focus on live casino, with Evolution Gaming CEO Martin Carlesund being interviewed as part of the CEO Special.

There will also be a feature on RTP (return to player) rates, with NetEnt offering a 99.5% RTP in its Perfect Blackjack product.

This rate requires a high volume of bets, which in turn requires perfecting the details around a live casino offering, according to Rengifo.

He told Gambling Insider: "Making any live casino game profitable requires a high volume of bets: the essence of operating these games efficiently is all in the details and correct configuration and setup of tables.

"Setting the right minimum/maximum bet ratio, the ideal speed for a game round, boosting the profit margin with side bets and – perhaps most importantly – having an engaging atmosphere on the table are all details that casinos need to get high volumes."

Read the full feature in the Jan/Feb magazine, which will be online in late January and distributed at ICE London.
