Time2Play report: Top Twitch slot streamers earn over 40x average US income

Time2play, the review site owned by globally established igaming affiliate KaFe Rocks, released a report this month which highlights the massive gap between the income of a top Twitch casino streamer and the average American worker.

Twitch was becoming an increasingly popular tool for casino affiliates until it banned referral codes and links in August.

On October 6 this year, over 100GB of Twitch data leaked to the public, including details of payments made to the top few hundred streamers between late 2019 and October 2021.

Using this data, as well as its knowledge from being a well-established affiliate, Time2Play put together a report, the findings of which were quite interesting, to say the least.

The report found that:
  • The average high school teacher in the states makes just 1/40th of what 2021’s top-earning streamer ROSHTEIN makes in a year

  • It takes workers on the federal minimum wage of $7.25 an hour over a month of 40-hour weeks to earn the same money as the top streamers do in just one hour.

  • A waitress would have to work for 134 years to earn what a top Twitch streamer earns in just a year

  • Top Twitch slot streamers ROSHTEIN and Trainwreckstv each earn over $48,000 per month from sponsorships alone One slots and gaming streamers was offered $2 million per month by a crypto casino for an exclusivity deal. This offer was turned down for an even more lucrative one

The table below (courtesy of Time2Play) shows the average monthly and total yearly income of the top 10 slot streamers on Twitch.

It is safe to assume that streamers earn even more than that. The numbers above are just taken from what was made available to the public. No wonder why more affiliates are trying to get into streaming these days!
