Online casino operator LeoVegas is expanding beyond its traditional gaming offerings into sports betting, after announcing a deal with sports book technology provider Kambi Group.

Kambi announced it had signed a deal to supply sports book technology to the Malta-based operator last week. The move to add sports betting services is intended to strengthen LeoVegas’ global presence; users will now be able to move quickly and easily between casino and sport facilities, which it is hoped will attract a wider base of potential customers.

Gustaf Hagman, CEO and co-founder of LeoVegas, said: “Following an extensive selection process, we are thrilled to be partnering with Kambi whom we identified as the partner that can match our high ambition and provide enabling technology and capability for us to innovate and drive the sports betting experience in the mobile era.

Kambi provides sports betting for 65 different sports, with services translated to more than 20 languages.
