Kiron Interactive granted Romanian online gaming licence
Global online virtual games provider Kiron Interactive, has announced its acquisition of a Romanian online gaming licence.
The company has been awarded a Class II licence by the Romanian iGaming regulator, the ONJN which will permit Kiron to offer their 20 plus online virtual games in the Romanian market.
Romania was one of the more recent former Eastern bloc nations to legalise online gambling, having done so in 2015. Since then the online gaming industry has rapidly grown in the nation.
Steven Spartinos, CEO of Kiron, said: “We are thrilled to have been awarded a permanent licence by the regulator and it is fantastic news that our suite of virtual sports and number games will now be available to Romanian customers.”
The move will see Kiron move closer to their mission statement of being the “global virtual games supplier of choice”, as Romania will be added to 41 other countries which the company currently operates in.
Spartinos added: “Gaining this licence underlines our immense progress as the industry’s leading provider of virtual products and we are excited to develop our product line in the country’s regulated market.”
Romania began offering the licences in 2016 and has since attracted various online gaming operators and content suppliers to the country. These include the likes of EveryMatrix in January this year and BetConstruct at the end of 2016.
