IMG Arena extends streaming rights deal with Brazilian Basketball League
Global sports betting content hub and innovation studio IMG Arena has added a six-month extension to its live streaming partnership with Brazil’s highest tier of professional basketball, Brazilian Liga Nacional de Basquete (LNB).
The renewed deal will see IMG Arena provide increased live stream coverage of games from the Novo Basquete Brasil, as well as games in the Copa Super 8, with live streaming available in markets around the world.
Launched in December 2008, the LNB brought together the top tiers of Brazilian professional basketball teams to make basketball the second most popular sport in Brazil behind soccer.
“We take great pleasure in announcing the renewal of the partnership in such a difficult and challenging moment for the entire society,” said LNB president Nilo Guimarães. “The vote of trust received by IMG Arena, the leading provider to the sports betting industry indicates that NBB has been delivering, year-on-year, a more solid and relevant product within the sports business.”
The extension comes after IMG Arena last month entered into a long-term live betting streaming and data agreement with World Table Tennis (WTT), granting sports betting operators access to content across all table tennis events run by the WTT, including the Championship matches.
