IGT expands into North Dakota with Turtle Mountain deal

Turtle Mountain runs both the Grand Treasure Casino in Trenton and Sky Dancer Casino and Resort in Belvourt. Both casinos will utilise IGT’s PlaySports solution to power their retail sports betting offerings.

Commenting on the new partnership, Enrico Drago, IGT PlayDigital senior vice president, said: “IGT is excited to expand our sports betting footprint to North Dakota through this agreement with Turtle Mountain, and we’re happy to continue delivering our superlative PlaySports platform technology and services to casinos and venues of all sizes.”

The deal will make North Dakota the 15th state in which IGT’s PlaySports solution is used to power sports wagering. The company also runs operations in Nevada, Illinois, Colorado, Michigan, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Arkansas, Oregon, Indiana, Iowa, West Virginia, Mississippi and Rhode Island.

Most recently, IGT partnered with Boyd Gaming for expansion into Nevada late last month. The long-term sports betting technology agreement will see IGT provide Boyd Gaming with its PlaySports platform throughout its Nevada venues. The deal also includes mobile and online sports betting.
