Headhunting firm SRI appoints Ben Fried to lead betting and gaming practice
Global headhunting firm SRI has tapped Ben Fried to lead its betting and gaming practice from London.
SRI is keen to capitalise on Fried’s 20 years of industry experience and contacts to supply its clients with sound talent advice.
Having worked for several big-name brands, including Betfair, Bet365 and PaddyPower, the veteran gaming executive brings with him invaluable insider knowledge.
SRI works with tech and entertainment companies to fill key positions, having recently facilitated Kim Godwin’s appointment as the new President of ABC News, and is currently helping TripAdvisor find a new Chief Exec.
With Fried’s appointment, SRI is branching out into the world of betting and gaming, with a focus on technology.
“Ben’s knowledge of both B2C and B2B environments and breadth of industry experience are invaluable as he helps leadership teams transform their businesses through talent,” said Jim Chaplin, SRI’s CEO.
“Ben’s positive and collaborative approach align with SRI’s culture and values, and he will be a tremendous asset to our firm.”
Fried expressed enthusiasm at his appointment and touched on some areas he is most excited about, specifically SRI’s presence in the States and Asia-Pacific (APAC) region.
He said: “I am thrilled to be joining SRI. Its deep expertise in sport, entertainment and technology will bring significant value to betting and gaming clients as they are closely aligned sectors in a converging world.
“Furthermore, our global presence, especially in the US and APAC, as well as SRI’s talent consulting capability, will further enhance our offering to clients.”
