Fun88 has launched its fun88zone.net website in Vietnam.

Fun88 launches website in Vietnam from its Philippines server

The operator has launched Vietnamese operations by updating the link to its site from its server in the Philippines.

Players in Vietnam will now be able to enter the operator’s site through fun88zone.net and access Fun88’s full suite of offerings, including sports betting, slots, baccarat, blackjack, poker, lottery and virtual sports betting.

The Fun88 app is free to download in Vietnam and comes with live chat support in six different languages: Japanese, Vietnamese, Chinese, English, Thai and Indonesian.

The operator will take deposits from local banks Vietcom bank, Vietinbank, ACB and Agribank. In addition, e-wallet services MOMO, Viettel Pay and Scratch card are available on the Fun88 site.

Last month, Fun88 launched Fun888.TV in Thailand, a sports betting information channel for Asian markets.

Fun88 undertook the move to provide Asian citizens access to statistical information on football, esports and other major tournaments, something many Asian jurisdictions have little access to.

Elsewhere, the operator’s future association with sports teams could be set to dwindle, particularly in the UK. The Premier League has recently announced plans to phase out front-of-shirt gambling sponsors in response to an upcoming Government White Paper which will regulate advertising partnerships on sports jerseys.

It remains unclear how this will affect its sponsorship of Premier League club Tottenham Hotspur. Fun88 is its long-term betting partner for Asia and Latin America, and it remains to be seen how sponsorship regulations in the UK will affect partnerships in overseas jurisdictions.
