Edgio partners with World Champion Fantasy to power PlayerX
World Champion Fantasy has announced a new data & streaming partnership with Edgio, which will see it power the release of the latter’s newest platform, PlayerX.
The new platform will see videos from esports tournaments synced with player data to provide statistics on players and teams automatically. Furthermore, the videos will be tagged, catalogued and uploaded as clips – meaning fans on PlayerX can stream and share highlights as they happen.
Mike Vela, CEO of World Champion Fantasy, spoke of the new partnership: “This is a big deal for the future of fantasy sports, and Edgio understood this vision.
