FSB announces 38% year-on-year increase in total bets at Cheltenham Festival

Following this year’s horseracing extravaganza, B2B sports betting and iGaming supplier FSB has announced it was a record-breaking event.

The report highlighted a 38% year-on-year increase in bets placed on the races and a 45% growth in active players engaging with partner communities across the week.

Mark Wilson, Sportsbook and Trading Director at FSB, said: “As a sportsbook first supplier with deep expertise across horse racing, the Cheltenham Festival is one of our tentpole events within the sporting calendar so naturally we are thrilled with these striking set of results.

“Attaining double-digit growth across a number of key metrics is testament to the dynamism of our teams as we strived to deliver an enhanced product proposition to our partner community over the four days.

“We now look forward to next month’s Grand National confident in our continued ability to deliver a horseracing betting experience to the industry.”

The platform revenue for Cheltenham also saw record numbers, supported by a 5% jump in turnover from the year prior.

FSB also has long-standing partnerships with bookmakers such as Fitzdares, which launched its sports betting platform in Ontario in February 2023.

New platform products were also launched prior to Cheltenham, including Bet Boost, integrated forecast and tricast betting.

A dedicated platform for the Cheltenham Festival was hosted by FSB, which focused on content and bets created specifically for the event.

Most recently, Adam Smith was appointed FSB CEO on a full-time basis.
