Entain releases betting insights on the Frankie Factor, Dettori’s last Royal Ascot

Operator Entain has released its latest data insights into how the UK punters supported Frankie Dettori on his final Royal Ascot outing.

Known as one of the biggest names in UK horseracing, Dettori overcame 25,000/1 odds in 1996 to be the only jockey to win all seven races on the same day on Champions Day at Ascot.

The races, labelled “The Magnificent Seven,” include the Queen Elizabeth Stakes.

Since then, Dettori has gone on to win a total of 77 races at Royal Ascot across his 36-year career.

Dominic Grounsell, CCO of Entain, said: “There has been even more of a buzz around Frankie Dettori since the beginning of the flat season.

“The world is watching his final season as a professional jockey to see if he can finish in style.

“Our customers have been weighing in on him in all the big meets so far this year, and Royal Ascot has been no different.”

In the first three days of Ascot, Dettori featured in 38% of all multiple bets and his horses were consistently one of, if not the top, most bet on horses each race.

Day 1 saw his horse, Inspiral, take 23% of all single bets, while the race favourite, Modern Games, took 16%.

Gregory assisted in Dettori’s first victory of this year’s Royal Ascot, but the real hype was to be found one day later.

On Day 3, Dettori rode Courage Mon Ami, the third highest-backed horse across all of the races, to victory.

Grounsell continued: “He brings excitement, swagger and a huge following wherever he races, and racing will lose one of its most famous faces and infectious characters this year.

“Let’s enjoy the final few months of Frankie Dettori racing on our screens and follow how the Frankie Factor continues to drive fan favourites up and down racecourses this summer.”

Frankie Dettori isn’t the only horseracing royalty at the event this week, with Michelle Payne partnering with Press Box PR for ITV coverage.
