PACGOR applauds Solaire North’s opening in Quezon City

Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR) Chairman and CEO Alejandro H. Tengco praised Bloomberry Resorts Corporation for its latest luxury development, Solaire Resort North, calling it a landmark destination in Quezon City.

Speaking at the formal opening of the second Solaire-branded leisure and entertainment property in Metro Manila, Mr. Tengco said the resort signifies a new era for both the Philippine gaming and tourism industries.

Located on a 1.5-hectare site in Quezon City, Solaire Resort North is the first five-star integrated resort and casino in northern Metro Manila and nearby provinces. Mr. Tengco acknowledged the extensive efforts by Bloomberry to complete the project, emphasising the years of planning and the dedication of hundreds of workers.

“This jewel was not created overnight; it took meticulous planning and immense resources to bring us this class of development,” Mr. Tengco said.

The inauguration was led by President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. and First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos, with Quezon City Mayor Joy Belmonte in attendance. Bloomberry Resorts Corporation Chairman and CEO Enrique Razon Jr. expressed his hopes for Solaire Resort North to elevate the entertainment experience in Quezon City.

Mr. Razon emphasised that the resort aims to meet the growing tourism demand in northern Metro Manila and adjacent provinces, which are experiencing rapid development. He also highlighted the resort’s role in boosting economic activity by attracting both local and international visitors to explore Quezon City.

“We are bringing only the exceptional to Solaire North – from architecture, interiors, accommodation, gaming, cuisine, art, to entertainment,” Mr. Razon added.

Solaire Resort North is expected to become a premier destination, enhancing the leisure and entertainment landscape of Metro Manila.

Earlier, Bloomberry reported a decline in Q1 2024 revenue, where part of it is attributed to the expenses for developing Solaire Resort North.
